Happy International Women's Day

Happy International Women's Day

30th Aug 2023

As we celebrate International Women's Day this year we wanted to celebrate the women in our team that makes Incy go round everyday and to support this years theme of #BreakTheBias.

Let's get to know the team!

First up, our founder and interiors enthusiast, Kristy is what makes Incy what it is. Allowing families to create beautiful nurseries and bedrooms, inspiring the kids of today, towards greatness tomorrow.

How long have you been at Incy for?

Kristy: Since the beginning.... I have been working on Incy for 11.5 years now.

What is your favourite part about your job?

Kristy: Can I have three? Our Incy team, our amazing products and our gorgeous customers.

If you had to use one word to describe yourself, what would it be?

Kristy: Persistant.

Who is a female you look up to?

Kristy: It's so funny how who you look up to changes as you get older. If you had asked me a few years ago I would have said Jacinta Ardern or some other powerful business woman. With everything going on in the world it makes you look closer to home and the females I look up to are my mum and grandmother for showing both myself and my extended family how to love, my beautiful business buddies - Nadean, Rebecca, Andrea, Nic, Jale, Nat, Erin, Sinead, Tanya, and Kerri for all successfully navigating a pandemic and my beautiful friend Lisa for juggling 5 children and a husband doing cancer treatment. These women are my heros.

Tea Kezic

How long have you been at Incy for?

Tea: 3 years in May.

What is your favourite part about your job?

Tea: Our gorgeous team.

If you had to use one work to describe yourself, what would it be?

Tea: Loyal.

Who is a female you look up to?

Tea: This is a hard one. Personally, my sister in law, how she manages a household and 6 kids is beyond me. Professionally, Kristy! Her professionalism, sophistication and beautiful nature is something to definitely look up to.

Plezi Brennan

How long have you been at Incy for?

Plezi: I am a few weeks away from the 1st anniversary, but it feels like I have been here much longer.

What is your favourite part about your job?

Plezi: My work family, we have so many laughs each day and really work together as one team.

If you had to use one word to describe yourself, what would it be?

Plezi: Passionate.

Who is a female you look up to?

Plezi: My Mum and best friend. Despite some of the challenging situations life has shown her, she is always positive, never complains and embraces each day. She has more energy than anyone I know!

Jacqui Hayes

How long have you been at Incy for?

Jacqui: Just over a year now!

What is your favourite part about your job?

Jacqui: I love getting to work within such a supportive team, we all bring different skills to the table and it's really cool to see new projects come to life knowing everyone has worked together to make it happen.

If you had to use one word to describe yourself, what would it be?

Jacqui: Resilient.

Who is a female you look up to?

I have always had a close relationship to my grandmother and she is someone I have always looked up to. She is such a strong woman that has always made people feel special, she is the most selfless person I know.
